OLUGBENGA JOSEPH KUYE (OJ) as fondly called, is the Parish Pastor. He holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Law in addition to a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance. Ministerially, he holds an Advanced Diploma in Pastoral Ministry from the World acclaimed Christ for the Nations Institute, Dallas Texas USA. He practiced successfully as an Attorney, Investment Banker/Financial Analyst and Claim Specialist in Africa and the United States from 1985 to 2000 before being called by God into Pastoral Ministry in 2000 to inspire God's children to be their best. Pastor OJ holds several ministerial certificates and credentials. In 1996, he attended The Redeemed Christian Church of God/ Hold Forth The Word Bible School, Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria, graduating with a Diploma in Theology. In 2000, he proceeded to Christ For The Nations Institute, Dallas Texas USA where he graduated with Advanced Diploma in Pastoral Ministry from the School of Leadership. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Pastoral Ministry. He is also a graduate of The Redeemed Christian Church of God School of Disciples where he graduated in 2005. He has attended several Leadership training and Conferences within and outside the church.
MINISTERIAL LICENSING & ORDINATION
Pastor OJ Kuye was licensed and ordained as a Deacon in The Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1999 after serving in various capacities as Christian worker and commissioned minister for six years. He was ordained as a Reverend by the Council of Christ For The Nations Institute, Board of Alumni Ministers in 2000 and as a Pastor in The Redeemed Christian Church of God in 2003. He holds a current ordination certification with Christ for the Nations Institute Alumni Ministers Fellowship and The Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide.
CURRENT MINISTERIAL POSITION & RESPONSIBILITY
Pastor OJ Kuye started a Prayer Fellowship in his living room in Arlington Texas in 1999 with four families. The fellowship later metamorphosed to the church- THE HOUSE ON THE ROCK in May 2000. The church has since grown in membership to about 800 with several departments ministering to the physical and spiritual needs of the members and the community.
OTHER LEADERSHIP POSITION & RESPONSIBILITY
-Zonal Coordinator, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Texas 4 Zone based in Dallas Metro with supervisory responsibility for a number of churches.
-Member, Board of Directors, The Redeemed Leadership Institute (RLI), the leadership training arm of the church in North America.
- Member, Board of Directors, Redemption Estates Inc (REI) , the Housing Estates Development arm of the church in North America.
MARRIAGE & FAMILY
Pastor OJ has since 1990 been married to his wife, Pastor Bisi, a Registered Nurse and fellow minister of the gospel and the union is blessed with three children- Rolly, Simi and Ayo.
